Accessibility

DDA wants this website and its diagnostic tools to be usable by people with different access needs.

Our approach

The site is designed around:

  • clear headings and logical reading order;
  • readable text and sufficient colour contrast;
  • descriptive links and text alternatives;
  • visible keyboard focus and keyboard-operable controls;
  • labelled forms and understandable error messages;
  • responsive layouts and usable touch targets;
  • reduced motion when requested by the user's device settings.

Diagnostic tools and documents

Interactive tools should provide labelled inputs, instructions, status messages, and a text explanation of results. Charts and visual status indicators should not rely on colour alone.

Some linked documents, third-party services, or older materials may present barriers. DDA will provide a reasonable alternative format when possible.

Report a barrier

If you encounter a barrier, use the Contact page. Please include the page or tool, what you were trying to do, the problem you encountered, and your preferred way to receive the information.

Accessibility feedback is used to understand the issue and determine a practical response.
